We may collect personal information about you if you if you provide your details when giving feedback to us or take part in a consultation via our website. We will use that information to:
• To process your enquiry or comment
• To compile statistics where relevant
Outside parties
We will not share your data with any other organisation.
We have contracts with other organisations (or third parties) to carry out certain activities or services on our behalf. In the unlikely event that we need to pass any of your personal data to them we will make sure that:
• They are only provided with the information they need to carry out the service
• They agree not to use the information received from us for any other purpose than those specified by us
• They have the proper systems in place to protect personal data
Accessing personal information
You may obtain confirmation of the basic information that we hold about you at any time under section 7 of the Data Protection Act 1998. The request must be made in writing and we may charge a £10 administrative fee. If it is incorrect we will promptly correct it when we have received the appropriate notice or evidence from you in writing.
Cookies
The OHPA website uses cookies. A ‘cookie’ is a piece of information, like a tag, which some websites create against your computer. The cookie we use log your progress through the site and record how you accessed the site. They do not collect any personal information about you or about the use of your computer or internet browsing in any way.
If you do not want cookies to be created on your computer, web browsers such as Netscape and Internet Explorer give you the option to disable them.
In Internet Explorer, click on Tools, then on Settings, then on the Privacy tab. Use the slider bar to select the level of privacy you want.
In Firefox, click on Tools, then on Options, then on Privacy, then on the Cookies tab. From this menu, you can choose your level of Privacy.
